I initially contacted several big designers in the Bay Area to get a feel of who we wanted to work with, but we immediately went with (MAS Design) because I loved their work, but they were also the nicest and most welcoming designers we had talked to by far. Carol and Dawn were amazing to work with. They are extremely detail oriented, transparent on how they work and bill, as they pass along their trade discounts, do their best to advocate for their clients, are very creative, and have an amazing eye for design. They make awesome business partners, as they kind of balance each other out, and are delightful and fun to work with. I have such an appreciation for what Carol and Dawn do because the work is extremely difficult, quite tedious, and requires true talent. They are so passionate about it though, and work out every single detail until it’s just right. I think there are many levels of what people consider “interior design,” but they work at the highest level in this profession. Our interior project is now complete and we got everything we wanted. The best part is that we also just got word recently that THE HOME WILL BE PUBLISHED in a prominent interior design magazine soon (in print)! I love the house so much that every day, I turn on all the lights and style the home exactly as they did for the professional photo shoot, just so I can look at it and admire it.

I was referred to the MAS Design team by Grant K. Gibson for a kitchen re-design in my home. My home has been designed by top tier designers, and Grant assured me that MAS is a talented, highly professional team with an excellent eye and reputation. Plus, their office has recently moved to Tiburon (next to Sausalito in Marin County) so (just across the Golden Gate bridge), super close to SF, a huge convenience (MAS now has offices in San Francisco and Tiburon). I met with principal designers Carol Perry and Dawn Carlson, and felt that I was in good hands. They were knowledgeable, friendly and positive. As we worked together I appreciated their systematic process, and their customer care. Their process is professional and direct. Their systems for communication, drawing, purchasing, etc made it so that not only did I know what was happening (and what I was being billed for) all along the way, but also they shielded me from errors that may have otherwise occurred without these protections…

…Realizing that we lacked the skills and experience to achieve our desired look and feel, we reluctantly decided to hire an interior designer. We interviewed four designers and were thrilled when we met MAS Design. They were fun, down to earth, versatile in their design aesthetic, and creative solution builders. So we took a leap and signed up! My husband and I differ a bit in our styles (he likes a bit more modern aesthetic and I like more traditional), so our styles were quite divergent. However, MAS skillfully turned these boards into cohesive design drafts for each room of our home. Once we had solidified the design, MAS managed the timeline for ordering all of the furniture which was shipped to a receiver so that it could all be installed on the same day. Then one day last fall, we went to work and returned home that evening to a brand new, beautiful home! I don’t know how they got it all done in one day, but they installed 7 rooms full of furniture, including rugs, linens, and lighting in only 9 hours. All night, my husband kept walking through different rooms saying “I can’t believe we live here!”
